Rev. Ferne C. Sapp, a licensed minister of the gospel, accepted her calling in June 1999 and delivered her initial sermon, “I’ve Been Called and So Have You!” on August 22, 1999.  Prior to accepting her calling into the five-fold ministry of preaching, Rev. Sapp served diligently in the Christian Education (CE) Ministry.  As the former Assistant Di rector of CE, she utilized her teaching gift in the development of a 3-tiered adult Bible study (School of the Word) and a concept-based adult Sunday school.  She also developed a Children’s Hour of Power (CHOP) ministry for children ages 4-12.  During this time Rev. Sapp also served as the Dean of Education for the Hopewell Congress of Christian Education (HCCE), an auxiliary of the Hopewell Association of Baptist Churches, Inc.  She currently serves as the President of the auxiliary (HCCE), which is comprised of 17 churches in the metro-Atlanta area.

Rev. Sapp obtained a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from Paine College, where she pledged Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.  After 12 years of service with the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she received numerous awards and recognition for outstanding work performance, Rev. Sapp resigned in June 1997 to pursue her calling and avail herself fully to the work of the Kingdom of God .  She went on to complete a M.A. degree in Ministry and a Master of Di vinity degree from Luther Rice Seminary.

As founder and president of Vessels of Purpose Ministries, Inc., a non-profit organization geared toward “perfecting the saints for the work of the ministry,” God has gifted Rev. Sapp to minister and teach at workshops, seminars, and conferences throughout the United States .  Rev. Sapp serves on staff as Executive Pastor at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, which is located in Lilburn, Georgia, under the anointed leadership of Rev. Dr. Richard B. Haynes.

Rev. Sapp shares in ministry with her husband, Deacon Willie Sapp .  They are the honored parents of two children:  Nicole (22) and Wynton (14).  She is the daughter of Martha (Walter) Clayton and Roger (Carol) Cannady.
