Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music (PL & MOM)
debuted in November 1994 and represent the realization of a
God-inspired vision on the part of Founder-Director Patrick P. Lundy
to assemble a group of spirit-filled and anointed talents committed
to spreading God's Word through song. The Choir consists of some of
the most outstanding vocalists and musicians in the Washington
Metropolitan area, many of whom are choir members, choir directors
or ministers of music in their home churches and/or ordained ministers
fo the gospel.
In addition to ministering in local churches, for federal agencies
and community organizations, PL & MOM have appeared on Black
Entertainment Television's "Bobby Jones Gospel", at the
John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and at Gospel Music
Workshop of America Convention and Board Meetings. The Choir has
also traveled throughout the United States and abroad to Lisbon,
Portugal, where PL & MOM represented the United States at the
1998 World's Fair and toured The Bahamas in July 2000. Additionally,
the Choir rendered special music at the Senate Family Thanksgiving
Celebration in 2001 and participated in the 2002 Tribute to Black
Gospel Music at the White House. PL & MOM have been blessed to
appear with virtually all of gospel's foremost national recording
artists including: Yolanda Adams, Milton Bingham, Bron Cage, Shirley
Caesar, Beverly Crawford, Kirk Franklin & The Family, Donald
Lawrence & Tri-City Singers, John P. Kee and New Life Community
Singers, Dorothy Norwood, LaShun Pace, Dottie Peoples, Wintley
Phipps, Richard Smallwood & Vision, Myran Summers, Albertina
Walker, CeCe Winans and Vicki Winans.
Patrick P. Lundy is a native of Thomasville, GA and a graduate of
Howard University who earned his degree in Music Business with a
concentration in management and voice. He is Music Director for the
world-renowned Eastern High School Choir and on the musicians' staff
of Reid Temple A.M.E. Church, Lanham, MD, with their award-winning
Minister of Music and gospel great, Myran Summers.
