Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Revelation S.E.E.D. was formed in Federal Prison in 1990 by Margaret
Reynolds, Former background singer of K.C. and the Sunshine Band International Recording Artist.
Margaret
Reynolds did not want a group of women who merely sang; members
of the group had to live by the standards of the word of God. Upon
her release from prison, through the encouragement of close friend,
veteran R&B chanteuse Betty
Wright, Reynolds, now an ordained minister, contacted former
prison mates to take Revelation S.E.E.D.’s testimonies to the world.
“Better Than
Better” a single on the Debut album “Living Testimonies” was inspired by the program of the same
name, designed by Margaret for at risk children and families to enhance and address Behavior Modification, Personal
Responsibility, Accountability and Life Skills of which all the
members of Revelation
S.E.E.D. were first partakers
They joined in telling
powerful living testimonies of their life-changing experiences and
triumphs in songs:
Donna Hubbard, now an ordained minister, was a former prostitute,
strung out on drugs for eight years, was homeless, slept in
abandoned buildings and was once beaten and left for dead.
She was arrested so many times that she was no longer afraid
of jails. But the
reality of losing her children and serving prison time, lead Hubbard
to get on her hands and knees and seek God’s help. After this
traumatic experience, Donna founded and established “Woman at the
Well
Transition
Center
”, a residential housing program that provides counseling and
services for women. Hubbard
now Pastors many ex-offenders and manages a successful leadership
program that is on the rise to address many societal ills.
Nicole Gellineau now an ordained minister had been a drug user since
the age of 22. In order to continue her habit, and avoid paying for
her drug of choice, cocaine; Gellineau started selling drugs.
After the drug bust, she decided to go cold-turkey from the
drugs and has been clean ever since. Nicole
received a prison sentence, and while in incarcerated she obtained
her college degree and graduated magna cum laude.
She created innovative programs, “Renaissance Preferred”,
designed to promote and present post prison success through a
structured curriculum that includes role play, cultural arts and
motivational speaking; “Renaissance Professional Staffing;
provides the necessary social preparation, training and employment
opportunities.
Chelec Fields now an ordained minister, Fields was a prisoner
without walls, in an abusive marriage for 15 years.
She suffered the perils of being married to a crack cocaine
addict. She was a mother who found herself in and out of homeless
shelters, who was subjected to being raped and beaten. She is
currently gainfully employed in the educational community.
Chelec is enhancing her ability to lead by taking courses in
marketing. Ms. Fields has established “Chelmafe LLC” a company
to specifically to help women who have the same issues like her in
their lives. Chelec a
budding inventor and song writer is grateful that God has spared her
life to help someone else. But remembering the promises of God she
sought refuge in the word and was delivered.
Deana Butler
Psalmist and Musician for the Lord, was happily married for 10
years, or so she thought. Met
and supported her husband through college where he obtained his
Bachelors and Masters Degree; and as a result of “The love of
money being the root of all evil”, and their financial
disagreements the marriage went down hill. Deana suffered mental and
emotional abuse that lead to abandonment, separation and ultimately
divorce. Deana Who
holds a Master degree in music has been a music school teacher for
approximately 15 years and has developed a program for children to
teach both music and drama.
“Children
Born Of the Fire” from behind the federal prison walls and from
the prison of life circumstances.
Unbelievable stories unravel in the midst of the storms.
These “Broken Vessels” are put back together by the grace
and mercies of God, through music, ministries and testimonies.
Free
from worldly deceptions and worldly devices, they hold nothing back
when it’s concerning the Almighty God.
The unfaithful wife, the prostitute, the bonafide drug
dealer, the abused and abandoned wife.
When it’s pumped up, cracked up, and messed up, just
“Hold On Don’t Give Up.” Jesus
Commandment, “To the Other Man”, (Do Unto Others) as you would
have them do unto you.
Producers
Betty Wright and Angelo Morris count it not robbery to come back at
you from “Living Testimonies” to the soon to be released
Sophomore Album.
